Svalbard Photography Tours
Lying a mere 600 miles from the North Pole, Spitsbergen is the largest island of the Svalbard Archipelago. Draped in darkness during the long northern winter, this frigid land is dramatically transformed into a place of perpetual sunshine during our summer visit.
The landscape photography opportunities on our Svalbard Photography Tour is nothing short of sensational, with towering snowcapped mountains, forbidding glaciers and flower-studded tundra. An abundance of iconic Arctic mammals also occur, including whales, walrus, Arctic Fox, reindeer and the most iconic of them all, Polar Bear, which we stand an excellence chance of photographing at close range on our Svalbard Photography Tour. Bird photography is also spectacular here, and the more special species include Ivory Gull, King Eider and vast colonies of breeding Guillemots. Our epic high Arctic photo safari will circumnavigate Spitsbergen as we explore great photographic subjects by zodiac, hike through tundra, and break into pack ice on this unforgettable expedition.
