ORYX Worldwide Photographic Expeditions
ORYX Worldwide Photographic Expeditions was born by our sister companies Rockjumper Worldwide Birding Tours and ORYX Wildlife Safaris. In response to a rapidly growing passion for photographic safaris amongst naturalists worldwide, we have teamed up with the best professional photographers and photo safari leaders in the industry to create one of the world’s finest photo safari companies, geared specifically for both amateur and professional photographers alike. Adventure awaits. Our office team has been facilitating tours for over 12 years and we pride ourselves in offering exceptional service and unsurpassed customer satisfaction. We only employ the very best personnel for every aspect of your expedition, from enquiry all the way through to tour leadership. Our reputation speaks for itself and the majority of our clients return to us for further adventures. ORYX Photographic Expeditions (Travel Photography)
Our Tour Types:
Our Classic Expeditions are the backbone of our business in which we utilize the best available accommodation most convenient to photographic localities. Our maximum group size is 6 participants with one professional ORYX Expeditions leader (except on ship cruises).
Our Ultimate Expeditions offer stylish and luxurious accommodation, especially chosen for their charm and exemplary guest services. This, combined with small group sizes (max 8 participants), an unrushed schedule and appreciated little extras – all add up to a superb wildlife photographic experience.
Our Custom Expeditions are one of our key strengths and we take particular pride in tailor-making your ultimate wildlife, bird and nature photography safari. Contact us for a non-obligatory quote and we will design the perfect tour to meet your exact requirements; be it a fun, relaxing and educational experience for your family or hardcore photography with a specific intention in mind.
Our Office in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, provides the necessary capacity to keep abreast of the complex arrangements that efficient and organized travelling requires.
Our Tour Costs are very reasonable and we offer excellent value for money without compromising on quality. Our policy is not to earn huge mark-ups on any particular departure, but rather to focus on service satisfaction and thereby build a dedicated client following who regularly return on our tours. All prices are quoted in US$; pp refers to “per person” and ss to “single supplement.”
Our low Client to Expedition Leader Ratio ensures that our leaders are able to provide one-on-one tuition, as most of our expeditions have a maximum of only 6 to 8 participants, thereby offering a very personalized experience.
Our Conservation Initiative includes activities undertaken by the ORYX Conservation Fund. A portion of the fees from each tour sign-up is used solely to support vital conservation projects that aim to conserve some of the world’s most threatened fauna and flora.
Our Loyalty Programme includes a 10% discount on every 5th full tour booked with ORYX. We also offer a $300 discount to anyone who signs up for two back-to-back, full ORYX safaris. This is designed to assist clients who wish to travel for longer periods and make the most of arduous and often expensive flights to distant parts of the world.
