Oryx Worldwide Photographic Expeditions was born by our sister companies Rockjumper Worldwide Birding Tours and Indri Ultimate Mammal Voyages. In response to a rapidly growing passion for photography amongst naturalists worldwide, we have teamed up with the best photographic tour leaders in the industry to provide expeditions geared specifically for both amateur and professional photographers alike. Our Tour Leaders are all award-winning and passionate photographers who genuinely love sharing their journeys and experiences with others. Our team is amongst the most accomplished wildlife and photographic professionals available, with many years of field guiding experience that is complimented by a wide range of cultural, mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian and botanical expertise.
Our Office in Pietermaritzburg provides the necessary capacity to keep abreast of the complex arrangements that efficient and organized travelling requires.
Our Tour Costs are very reasonable and we offer excellent value for money without compromising on quality. Our policy is not to earn huge mark-ups on any particular departure, but rather to focus on service satisfaction and thereby build a dedicated client following who regularly return on our tours. All prices are quoted in US$; pp refers to “per person” and ss to “single supplement.”
Our low Client to Expedition Leader Ratio ensures that our leaders are able to provide one-on-one tuition, as most of our expeditions have a maximum of only 6 to 8 participants, thereby offering a very personalized experience.
Our Conservation Initiative includes activities undertaken by the Oryx Conservation Fund. A portion of the fees from each tour sign-up is used solely to support vital conservation projects that aim to conserve some of the world’s most threatened fauna and flora.
Our Loyalty Programme includes a 10% discount on every 5th full tour booked with Oryx. We also offer a $300 discount to anyone who signs up for two back-to-back, full Oryx safaris. This is designed to assist clients who wish to travel for longer periods and make the most of arduous and often expensive flights to distant parts of the world.
